Repairing your HeaterAlthough we experience milder winters in the Rockwall area, we still need our heaters to operate and function efficiently. They have similar issues to air conditioning units, but there are definitely many differences in the two. We are a local HVAC contractor ready to serve you with the best service and a competitive price. Repairing your heater is important, and we make every effort to meet your need as soon as possible.
A gas furnace or heater uses flames to heat the metal heat exchanger. Here, heat is converted in to air and then pulled through a heat exchanger with a fan or air handler fan. The warm air is then pushed through the ductwork away from the exchanger and filtered out to your home.
If you have a condensing furnace, they are designed to reduce the escaping heat by cooling exhaust gasses below 140 degrees Fahrenheit. This is the main purpose of one of the newer high-efficiency furnaces.
Although the Rockwall area isn’t known for cold temperatures, it does get cold here and we certainly get cold snaps that will last for a several days. Keeping your heater or furnace properly maintained and running efficiently is important so when we do have a cold front or ice and snow, your home can stay warm. Ice and snow can create situations where we are unable to navigate the roads safely. If your furnace is out, you may have to wait longer than normal for a repair to your heater.
It is highly recommended that you have your furnace maintained regularly. Since these produce carbon monoxide, you do not want a malfunctioning unit to pump in unhealthy amounts of it in to your home.
